Guidelines & Requirements for Assistance:

In order to receive assistance from the CCI Pet Food Pantry, you must meet the following requirements. Please bring all necessary paperwork with you – our volunteers will assist you in completing an application. Please note that only complete applications will be considered, and that you must read and agree to our guidelines prior to receiving any food distribution.

Proof of identification:

Valid photo ID such as driver’s license and a recent utility bill in your name for the address on your ID. One applicant per household only will be allowed to apply for assistance.

Proof of spay/neuter:

Proof of completed spay/neuter or scheduled spay/neuter is required. No exceptions. Proof must be from your veterinarian or the clinic where your pet has been or will be spayed/neutered. We cannot take your word that you will spay or neuter your pet. Spaying and neutering is the only truly effective means for preventing overpopulation of dogs and cats – which leads to unwanted animals in shelters or on the streets.

Proof of financial need or hardship (at least one from the list below):

We are here to help pet families with TEMPORARY assistance feeding their pets during times of hardship. Food distributions are supplemental in nature only and not intended to fully feed your pets from distribution to distribution. Please bring proof of financial need to the food distribution so that we can determine your eligibility for assistance from CCIPFP.

Qualifying documentation of financial hardship:

Proof of disability, social security or Medicaid benefits

Proof of unemployment benefits with current, valid dates

Proof of foreclosure

Proof of  hardship not listed above may be determined, but not guaranteed, on a case-by-case basis (examples: letter from pastor or other church official; letter from veterinarian, etc.)
